We want to select the best sites for power generation. To achieve this goal, we carry out a comprehensive resource assessment (using software and campaign measures) and production assessments. At the feasibility stage, we also evaluate any potential environmental and social impacts and begin identifying solutions for the land and the grid connection.

Environmental & Social Studies

We perform rigorous studies on all our sites to understand the potential impacts of our projects on the environment and local population. Our environmental and social studies also include appropriate mitigation measures to minimize our impact and foster local development in a sustainable way.

Grid Connection Studies

Grid connection is key to the success of a renewable energy project. Due to the specific characteristics of renewable energy, any project requires a detailed assessment of the power infrastructure features at the substation the plant is intended to be connected to.

Project Design

From inception and throughout the different phases of development, our engineering team designs our plants to optimize power production in accordance with specific site constraints, available sources and grid capacity.

Land Securing

Land is a key factor to success in renewable energy development. Securing a plot of land involves different degrees of discussions with landowners, whether public or private, as well as with the local community to ensure public acceptance. It also entails negotiating agreements (rents) for use of the land.

Permitting

A project can only come to life if it complies with local regulations. Permitting refers to obtaining licenses, permits and other authorizations from different authorities and regulatory bodies. This process needs to begin at the start of the project due to potential delays in the evaluation of the application.
