The Savane des Pères project is the culmination of Voltalia's desire to expand our solar electricity production solutions by offering a storage unit that will ensure energy supply predictability and thus meet part of households’ electricity needs.
Located on a former municipal landfill site, the Savane des Pères plant is in line with our desire to make the most out of degraded sites while contributing to the region's energy transition.
The innovation of this project is reflected in the presence of batteries and a forecasting system that makes it possible to smooth the production of electricity delivered to the public grid as well as the supply gap.
Thanks to this system, Voltalia is thus able to provide clean, predictable and renewable electricity that is compatible with the characteristics of the public distribution network in French Guiana.
